Product detail
Our PCUs are bidirectional solar inverters with an MPPT-based charger, extracting maximum energy from the PV modules to charge batteries and supply the load at the same time. In-house developed DSP technology drives the MPPT and inverter stages, letting the system share solar power with battery power to produce the output the load needs.
MPPT charger ratings are selected to charge the battery and deliver current to the load. These units can be configured to prioritise solar, battery or mains.
How the priority logic works
- When solar energy is sufficient, the MPPT output charges the batteries while feeding the inverter to meet load demand.
- If the MPPT cannot charge the batteries, the mains charger becomes active and the load is fed from mains.
- Once the batteries are fully charged, the load automatically shifts back to the inverter running on solar and batteries.
Units are available from 1 to 15 kVA, single phase input and single phase output. PCUs with peak grid demand management are available on request.
