About the company

Built by people who make the parts, not just fit them.

S P Alectricals is a Ranchi firm working in two directions at once — commissioning solar plants for institutions, and manufacturing the electrical components those plants are built from.

From a 10 kWp hostel installation to a 400 kWp medical university, on hospitals, medical colleges and district offices across Jharkhand — engineered, built and maintained by the same team.

Who we are

A technology-led company, not a reseller

Rooftop photovoltaic array

We specialise across all the key domains of the solar photovoltaic industry — which is why a plant we commission and the panel feeding it can carry the same name.

The company was founded and is run by two working partners — an engineering graduate and a diploma-qualified engineer — with a combined 27 years in the renewable and power electronics industry. Our systems serve several segments of the power industry, from a 10 kWp hostel installation to a 400 kWp medical university.

The portfolio spans fully integrated SPV plants, power conditioning units, solar batteries, photovoltaic modules, LED street lighting, solar water pumping and the electrical support components that hold a plant together. These are drawn from the best available in the industry, combining what our technology partners know with what our founders have built.

What that means in practice is narrow but important: when something on one of our plants fails, there is one company to call rather than five suppliers pointing at each other.

The people behind the plants

Two partners who have been on the roof

Atul Kumar Singh

Founding Partner

  • An engineering graduate with more than 12 years experience in the renewable energy and power electronics industry, He is one of the two partners who founded S P Alectricals.

  • He works across the whole of the business rather than one corner of it — the survey and engineering behind a plant, the components it is built from, and the team that installs and maintains it.

  • Clients deal with him directly. The partner who looks at the roof and quotes the work is the partner answerable for it once it is running, which is the difference between a firm and a sales desk.

Mithundas M

Founding Partner

  • Diploma qualified and with over 15 years experience in the renewable and power electronics industry, He brings the longest run of hands-on experience in the firm to every project it takes on.

  • He works alongside his partner across engineering, manufacturing and site delivery. Fifteen years experience of real installations is what tells you which structure suits a roof and which shortcut will cost the client later.

  • For a hospital or a district office that experience shows up in the ordinary things — a plant laid out so it can be serviced, and handed over ready to run rather than ready to argue about.

How we think

We would rather build something twice than explain it twice

Our vision

Solar an institution can forget about

A plant should run for twenty-five years without its owner having to think about it. That is only possible when the company that engineered it also made its parts and still answers the phone.

Our mission

One company answerable for the whole plant

We design, manufacture, install and maintain. When something fails there is one number to call, not five suppliers pointing at each other.

Our commitment

The work does not end at commissioning

Our engineering and maintenance team is based in Ranchi, not another state. Service on a plant we built is a drive away rather than a ticket in a queue.

Our standard

Built for the roof it goes on

Mounting, protection and combiner boxes are designed around the conditions of that specific site. Nothing is selected out of a catalogue because it was the cheapest line item.

What we do

Two disciplines that hold each other up

Solar EPC

One contract from the first site visit to handover, at any scale we have built.

  • Site survey and electrical SLD
  • Engineering and system design
  • Procurement and installation
  • Commissioning and maintenance

Electrical manufacturing

The balance of system is fabricated in our own Ranchi workshop before it reaches a roof.

  • SPV modules and mounting structures
  • Power conditioning units and batteries
  • ACDB, DCDB and array junction boxes
  • Solar LED street lights and lanterns
Why clients choose us

Three things a supplier cannot promise you

One accountable contractor

Survey, single-line diagram, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning sit inside one contract with one team. No coordination between a designer, an importer and a local fitter who have never met.

The components are ours

Power conditioning units, array junction boxes, ACDB and DCDB panels, mounting structures and LED lighting are fabricated in our own Ranchi workshop before they reach a roof — so specification, lead time and rework all stay under our control.

Maintenance stays local

The same engineers who commissioned the plant service it afterwards. For a hospital or a district office, that is the difference between a fault fixed this week and a fault escalated to a head office elsewhere.

How a project moves

From a roof survey to a plant that runs

  1. 01

    Survey and assessment

Our engineers visit the site, measure usable shadow-free area, check the structure and read the last twelve months of consumption. Those numbers set the capacity — nothing is quoted before them.

  2. 02

    Engineering and design

Drawings and the electrical single-line diagram are prepared for that specific roof. The mounting system, protection unit and combiner boxes are designed around its conditions, not selected from a catalogue.

  3. 03

    Fabrication and installation

The balance of system is built at our workshop, then structure, modules, PCU, AJB and ACDB are installed on site by our own team.

  4. 04

    Commissioning and handover

The plant is tested, commissioned and handed over — with the same engineering team available afterwards for maintenance, based in Ranchi rather than another state.
